Does God hold you accountable to what he created you to be; for the purpose that He has given to you for your life? If you don’t fulfill the purpose does that ultimately decide how long you live here on earth? if your life on earth is determined by God before you are born, is it then determined by whether you do what you are supposed to do or not? How do you know that you have done all that you had to do?
Interesting questions. Some that I, myself, have pondered several times during my life. Everyone says that when you have completed your time here on earth, God will call you home. So, when a person dies is it safe to say that they fulfilled their time here on earth for what God purposed for them? And how would you know when you have reached that time. How would you know that you have fulfilled what you were brought here to do? All important questions that I don’t have the answer to. No one here on earth has the answers, only the Lord knows why He created you, if you have done everything that He has purposed in your life, and when you will return to Him. Jesus himself said we neither know the time or the place of his return. As Acts 2:7 states, “It is not for you to know the times or epochs which the Father has fixed by His own authority”.
The one thing that I do know is...we are all called to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. Once you have accepted Christ as being the son of God, you are called to spread the knowledge of Jesus Christ. If you believe in Christ, then you are a disciple of Christ, and we were all given a mandate when he left earth to be with the Lord. We were to go into the world and speak of the goodness and miracles Jesus. Essentially speaking about his life and how he can change theirs. We are to spread the word of his time on earth and of his imminent return. “… But you will receive power and ability when the Holy Spirit comes upon you; and you will be My witnesses [to tell people about Me] both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.” Acts 2:8 AMP.
So, don’t trouble yourself with the where’s, when’s, why’s and how’s of the kingdom. All will be revealed in due time. As for the time that God has given you here on earth – make the most of it. When the Lord calls you to fulfill your purpose to why you were created, no matter how much you want to run, you will not get away. Be the good steward and follow as you were commanded. Spread the word – a word at a time.
